The most successful method of filling demanding positions is still executive search. What HR consultancies have been optimizing with direct search for decades is now often referred to as “active sourcing”, enriched by digital channels and tools.
In principle, it is about addressing actively, but especially passively searching candidates who cannot be reached through job advertisements these days according to the motto "Post & Pray". A modern executive search consultant today uses different means and defines the most suitable channels for identifying and approaching target candidates. These channels are intelligently interlinked and enriched by digital processes and tools. We also use these.
Today, the supreme discipline of successful headhunting is no longer findability, but rather attracting the desired candidates. And this is where the right identification separates the wheat from the chaff in our industry.
Years of experience in reaching out to C-level and working with decision-makers in your industry help me enormously. I understand what is important to you and what “language” the desired candidates speak: trustworthy, at eye level, goal-oriented. I carry out all searches successfully myself and therefore only take on a limited number of search projects at the same time.

Career & Mission – Excellence first
During my business studies in Iserlohn and London, I began to deal intensively with the topic of recruiting top personnel. The shortage of skilled workers was one of my central topics. I was particularly fascinated by the world of headhunting. I was given the opportunity early on to gain experience in executive research at Delta Management Consultants, which is still one of the top 10 human resources consultancies in Germany.
It then made sense to enter the industry:
In the following years I worked as a consultant and later as a team leader at a large international recruitment agency, where I played a key role in building up the business unit for the recruitment of technical specialists and managers in Düsseldorf. Afterwards I moved to beautiful Hamburg for both my professional and private life.
Digital competence and industry understanding
After another position as an executive search consultant at an established Hamburg executive search consultancy GET AHEAD, I moved to a specialized IT consultancy with a focus on the digital workplace in 2014. In 2020, I was responsible for business development of an IT company network with 130 member companies and initiated framework contractual partnerships for digital projects with major customers.
I deliberately chose this change of sides in order to be able to delve even deeper into the topics of digitalization and pass on this knowledge.
I have been providing my expertise since 2018 as an entrepreneur with a focus on professional & Executive Search continues. Working in partnership, I support you reliably and sustainably in filling your key and management positions.
In my private life, I spend as much time as possible with my family in beautiful Hamburg. I love good food, cooking, traveling and reading inspiring books.
The search process
A precise understanding of the requirements profile, the underlying business case for the vacancy and a precise search strategy are the cornerstones of the search process. I I would like to understand you and your company in detail: I take the time to do this and work with you to develop the search profile in a structured manner. In addition to the hard and soft facts that you want, another important building block is elaborating on the advantages of the function, your added value as an employer and your career prospects.

Search strategy



After completing the search profile, the search strategy is defined. This differs depending on your industry environment, the region and the requirements for the function. In many, but not all, of our searches, I work with a target company list, an extract from those companies in which we suspect potential candidates: Points of clarification in advance include:
1. Does the role require experience in your specific industry environment?
2. Does the economic area offer enough potential or does the search have to be done nationally?
3. Are there any “blocking notices” when contacting you, e.g. due to collaborations or customer relationships?
Ident & speech



The next step is to find suitable candidates - the so-called "Ident" and the approach. Here I first assess the professional and personal suitability as well as the interest in changing and quickly try to generate curiosity for the vacancy. This selection creates the longlist, which will be further narrowed down in the next phase.
Interviews
I conduct structured telephone or video interviews with candidates who were convincing in the initial approach. In addition to personal and professional suitability, I check all necessary conditions, including salary requirements, motivation to change and, if necessary, willingness to move and travel. I then narrow down the circle of eligible candidates based on the target company list until I am convinced that I can generate a shortlist from which 3-5 precisely pre-qualified candidate profiles can usually be presented to you during the search.

You will receive the results of our search and selection process on a digital platform provided specifically for you. You receive ongoing insight into the status of the search and use digitally supported processes to control communication and the progress of projects. Depending on the complexity of the project, you can expect the first, concrete results after just 2-4 weeks.
